In honor of the centennial of the Lincoln Memorial’s dedication, the Concord Museum opened a special gallery exploring the planning and construction of the Lincoln Memorial through illustrations, sculpture, archival materials, and ephemera, and tracing its role as a symbolic site in illustrations, political cartoons, and popular culture. For the gallery, I animated a 3-minute looping video, depicting the physical construction of the Lincoln Memorial, followed by its cultural construction as a site for protest and demonstration.
